This development has been reached during the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, which has instructed the Federal Ministry of Education, the Nigerian Education Research Development Council (NERDC), and relevant government institutions to collaborate with the National Orientation Agency (NOA) on creating a comprehensive curriculum for Citizenship Studies.

Values of social justice and tolerance will be instilled, emphasizing fairness and equality among diverse backgrounds.
