Former governor of Kano state, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has revealed that establishment of Northwest University and Kano University of Science and Technology Wudil are his best achievements during his two-term governing the state.
Kwankwaso, the national leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPPC, disclosed this at the commissioning of a teacher training program aimed at enhancing the computer skills of 1,000 primary and secondary school teachers, in collaboration with the Skyline University of Nigeria in Kano on Monday.
The event was part of celebrations marking his 68th birthday.
According to Kwankwaso, during his two tenures in 1999 and 2012, he executed many developmental projects in agriculture, infrastructure, and rural development, among others, but the establishment of the two universities was more cherished to him.
