The Chairman of Gwale Local Government Area of Kano State, Abubakar Mu’azu Mojo, has sealed the office of the LGA’s Director of Personnel Management, Alhaji Danjuma Zubair Babeji, over allegations of insubordination and the loss of important documents, which have hindered his administration and the LGA’s activities.
This was revealed through a news broadcast on Premier Radio 102.7 FM Kano on Wednesday, December 11, 2024.
The Chairman also accused him of sabotaging his position, prompting him to take immediate action and vow to resign alongside councillors and all advisers if his decision is not complied with.
“I will not tolerate such indiscipline and negligence of duty. I am here to serve the interests and needs of the entire people of Gwale LGA, and I am not afraid of anybody. The DPM must go,” he said.
“I officially wrote a complaint letter to the Kano State Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, to immediately replace him and am awaiting their decision. If the DPM does not leave, I will resign from my position,” the Chairman repeated.
“This is not the first time. Even when I served as Interim Management Committee Chairman in this LGA, he did not obey my directives. This should be the last time. I swear I will not work with the DPM, and I have closed his office,” he emphasized.
Our efforts to hear from the DPM proved abortive. Meanwhile, we will continue trying to balance the story by reaching out to the alleged person.
