Arewa Voters Forum Comes at the Right Time – Ex-Kano Central Candidate

Former Kano State Central Candidate Barr. Aisha Dankani has described the establishment of the Arewa Voters Forum as a welcome development in the Northern political system.
She made the assertion when the Kano State team leader, alongside Kano coordinator Idris Ibrahim Unguwar Gini, paid her a courtesy visit to introduce the association and seek her guidance as an elder and mother of the movement.
Introducing the reasons and purposes for creating the AVF, the Kano coordinator Unguwar Gini highlighted, “We strongly believe that the voter’s  card is beyond everything, and it is the only tool to elect a ruler or reject him on election day.”
“For us to make changes to this unfocused and undesirable political system, we need to come together to select people who prioritize the interests of our society above their own needs.”
“We are tired of what is going on in the Nigerian democratic system and the nature of Northern politicians now. By all means, we want to make changes and hope that with the support of caliber people like you, whom God has blessed with wisdom, talent, experience, and knowledge, we can achieve our goals.”
“Finally, we are here to register your name as part of our elders under your ward, as we have already enrolled other respected people like you. Once again, on behalf of all our team leaders of the AVF, we appreciate the time you have given us to visit you despite your tight schedule. Thank you so much and remain blessed.”
In her response, Barr. Aisha Dankani expressed her satisfaction with the structure and objectives of the forum. “I am so delighted by the confidence you show in me, thinking that I have a role to play in securing our society on the issues affecting their lives.”
“I can say that this forum has similar goals to my association called ‘Kano Lead,’ and I believe that through such initiatives, we could salvage our society, especially for the upcoming generation. What we are lacking is synergy, and the only way to make progress is through synergy among all stakeholders in society.”
