The provost of the college, Dr. Abdullahi Asiru, in an interview with Top Daily News, said the college will begin with four schools and fourteen departments, which include the School of Art and Social Sciences, School of Vocational Education, School of Education, General Studies, and School of Sciences.

According to him, they have given out about two thousand admission forms free to interested candidates who are willing to study at the college.

“We have already released the first and second batches of admission letters to the applicants.

“I would like to use this chance to thank His Excellency, the governor of Kano State, Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf, for his commitment to reopening the institution through the efforts of the commissioner for higher education, Dr. Yusuf Ibrahim Kofar Mata. With their support, they approved the deployment of lecturers from the Kano State Secondary Schools Management Board (KSSMB) and the Science and Technical Board.

“Almost ninety teachers were interviewed and are awaiting their posting to the college.

“We hope to start with one thousand candidates, and by God’s grace, the college will commence with excellent academic programs,” Dr. Ashiru mentioned.
